FRIDAY - the only day of week that is a fword.
Today Friday is the last working day of the year as well as the week for me!! Woohoo! Not that I don't like my work, 'cos I do, but I'm also looking forward to some fun and feasting with the family for Christmas, and then 2 weeks on mountain biking on the big island up north. Stay tuned for more...

Feeling festive
My house is festooned with flashing fairy lights for the festive season and I think it looks fairly fabulous! I'm feeling festive and fit to enjoy all the fun of feasting with the family, while remembering that the reason for the season is also the reason for faith in the Father - Jesus.
Only 13 sleeps til Christmas and 14 sleeps til Joel and I head off to the big island up north for 2 weeks of downhill mountain biking. Can't wait!!

FAITH
"Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:11)
Faith n. 1. complete trust or confidence. 2. firm belief, esp. without logical proof. 3. a. a system of religious belief (the Christian faith). b. belief in religious doctrines. c. spiritual apprehension of divine truth apart from proof. 4. duty or commitment to fulfil a promise (Oxford Dictionary)
I am about to buy a second hand downhill mountain bike which I have not seen and which has no pedals. It is being delivered on Friday. And I am paying $800 for it. Logic says I should get it checked by a bike mechanic first or at least take it for a ride,(which I can't do because it has no pedals!) just like you would if buying a car. But, I don't make all my decisions based on logic. Sometimes faith is more reliable, and I am relying on faith, not only in buying this bike, but more importantly, in learning to ride it fast down mountains and rocks and have fun in the process! I have found that throughout my life, living by faith always pays off! I can't wait to get my new bike!

igoogle and gmail
Well, I've been playing!
igoogle is fun but there are so many time wasting little gadgets to search for. I found some I like though. I reckon they'd be a bit distracting to have on your work computer desktop all the time. Especially the mountain bike online game I added which kept making noises to get my attention to gp play it. Love the funny cat photos!
And just from watching the gmail video, I can't see the point or the advantage of it over my trusty yahoo email account which I've had to for 5 years. Yahoo has improved over that time and I've never had any problems with it and it seems to do everything gmail does. Also I'm not signing up for yet another email address. I already have 3 emails plus this ever growing list of usernames and logins for other things like igoogle, the blog (which I can see great potential in) , facebook, flickr etc etc.
